Things to think about

Start a binder and a notebook right away. We started two: one for all the doctor stuff, test results, medicine names and other medical information, and one for insurance information and bills.

Offering to help or asking what you can do to help is good, but at the time, we didn’t know what to say or what to ask for. If you can think of something that you can do and just do it, that can be better than an offer or question.
